17x7 40 offset????

i found some wheels that i like but they don't offer the color i want in 18x7.5 with 45 offset. they only offer them in 17x7 but with a 40 offset....is that too low of an offset even though they're only 7 inches wide?

Way too low. Factory wheels are 7" wide with +53 offset, IIRC.

yes, that's true....but they're also 18's.....the one's i'm looking at are 17's

I had 17x7 44et winter wheels (Ford Fusion wheels) that fit fine, but I can see how another 4 mm might start to cause issues, particularly with a lowered vehicle.

So what does the diameter have to do with how they will fit? Your total outside diameter will be the same if you use properly sized tires.

they will fit just fine. my friend has 17x7.5 +40's on his car right now. i can get pictures if you want for proof.
