Either size will work/look fine. Just get whatever size you want. There are plenty of pics around the site to help you decide. In most cases, depending on the drop, you wouldn't be able to tell wether or not they are 17's or 18's. I think the "18's look to big" talk is bs.

It is what it is, and 18 does look too big to many people on the P5. The lines just don't work in most cases. There are one or two P5s with 18 on the board that look OK.

For referenece, here are my 17's (+42) with 215/40 rubber @ stock height.

yeah, you should notice that's the overall look I was after. I'm afraid I'll rub if I drop as my offset is a +42.

I went 18. But i went with a wheel that has a polished lip, hence it looks more like a 17 because of the lip. However ride quality is not very great on an 18 cuz the tire is so low profile. What would look very HAUT would be an 18 with a +42 offset, nice polished lip on the wheel, rolled fenders and a decent drop. But i am newbie too lol so don't take my word for it lol (blah)

When i bought the P5.. it came with 18's and lowered 2 inches.

Then i got sick of the bad ride... it handled EXCELLENT with no rubbing.. but i got sick of it regardless. I ended up getting prokits, illuminas, and 16 inch wheels with 205/50/16's. No rubbing, doesn't handle near as well but rides sooo much better. I will end up going with a 45 series tire on my next set.

then i went with 15 inch rims on the cherokee....

i love the look of my 18's........but im on 225/35/18 tires and the ride is much rougher than the 205/45/17 stock mazdaspeed rims/tires.
