Looking to get some used 17/7.5 rims with 42 offset.
Will these fit my car with 215/45/17 or even 215/40/17 tires??
My MSP is at stock ride height. I'm thinking the offset is too low.

i thought that you could put a 17/8 rim on a msp with no rub.... but hey i have no clue. i run 215/45 on my racing harts.

id actually liek to kno this too

Federal 595 225/45/17 ...will 225 be ok?..again mines stock height

i have 215/35/18 right now but dropping to 17's

yes yours will work...just thoguht back and i had 215/40/18 before and drove fine

Doesn't the offset play a big role, I know a 17/7.5 will fit with the right offset. I just wanna know if I can make these work for sure with a 42 offset, I know most people run around a 48 with 7.5 wide rim.
I just don't want to spend $1200 then have them not fit, and then have to sell them.

7.5 go with 45mm offset or 48mm.

42 will rub with 7.5. s*** I've got 42 with 7's and you need the right tires if you don't want rub.

what does rolloing the fenders actually invole, is it costly? Does it require any painting be redone? Will any body shop do it?

ive got 40 offset with my konigs 7 inch wide and with rolled fenders, im good

There is a tool you can rent but Im not sure how much. And you shouldn't have to paint anything but I would suggest using a heat gun on the fender before you roll it just to make sure nothing chips.

42's look good because they bring the wheel right out.

But not all tires will work with this.

You have to find the right tires. 205's will work, but only some 215's will work

i jsut rolled my fenders myself...using a pole and a rubber hammer...youtube fender rolling

watched a couple peopel do it on here and tried ti myself..no paint cracked and it worked v well

Does anyone know how big the fender lip is on the rear fender? Mine looks to be about 1/2 inch. I dunno if that's the right size or not.

But I run 17x7.5 +50 with 205/40/17 tires. It looks like I can fit 215/45/17.

42 might fit if you have stretched tires.

I would say 48mm or 50mm offset. I wouldn't go any lower.
