As if the cops in Toledo, OH don't have other things to worry about .....murder ....local stabbings ......drug deals. What a waste of my time, he was just pissed it took him so long to catch up to me. He wanted to give me wreckless operation....is it illegal to accelerate faster than others...I mean seriously. F***in' monthly quota. Just bitchin'. Anyone want to add to the b**** ticket list?

Did you peel out? If so you could have very well gotten a reckless driving ticket.

In no way did I peel out. That is what pisses me off. They literally chirped while shifting from first to second. My buddy and I don't even remember hearing that....but it is all we can come up with. I took it to 6000 in second....apparently I just drew attraction to myself, so the cop needed some reson to pull me over. I saw the flashing lights when I hit 3rd gear, and was already slowing down. My buddy just wanted me to take the RPMs higher becuase it was his first time riding my car. I usually drive conservativley....and I never squeal tires.

So I got pulled over for using all of second gear. He was probably excited when he saw the tint for an "add-on".

He threatened with reckless opp, but that was the funny part. In no way was I even close to reckless opp. He was just acting tuff becuase he can...and because he only weighs 100 lbs. Its all he can do to make the night better I am sure.

I thought about fighting it....but I net more $ in one weekday than the amount of the fine....so if I went to court it would actually cost more even if I won. Well a vacation day at least.

What was the speed limit? If you were at 6k in second, chances are you were at about 60mph. I'm pretty sure that's speeding unless you were on the freeway or highway. But there is no law against how fast you get to the speed limit (I don't think anyway). You probably got the ticket because he heard the chirp.

You can get a ticket for "Aggressive Acceleration" ...happened to a buddy of mine in a RSX-S with Exhaust.

I think that is stupid.

BTW: The cop did not have me clocked.....but yes 60 MPH does ring a bell. I am lucky to not get a speeding ticket.....but they do not give those out in Toledo. Nobody I know has gotten one. I was on a major road where 60 is the speed everyone travels....I think it is 50 MPH un-enforced limit.

Oh....the tint shall live on.

So let me guess, the cop should be thankful that you pay his salary. He should be thankful that you did him the courtesy of stopping because your car is so fast that he would have never caught you otherwise.

Please, kill yourself now.

Riiiiight. I was not racing him nor implying I was faster. It was a figure of speach, I was pissed. I just meant he had no GOOD reason to pull me over. I don't give a s*** about his salary, he can bust a drug deal or shut the f***ing "thugs" up that break s*** in my parking lot (at least they think they are thugs). <--moving in January due to job offer and new car = garage

BTW the plates have not come in yet. The pic is from online order.

In many states they can pull you over for "exhibition of speed," which involves accelerating quickly. Which odds are if you were taking it to 6k in 2nd, you did it quickly. Not just over a half mile. Just be glad you didn't get the speeding ticket and cry about something worthwhile.

So, he had no reason to pull you over despite the fact you were doing at least 60 mph on a street? Maybe you should have told him that none of your friends have ever gotten tickets because "they" don't give those out in this here city. That oughta knock some sense into that stubborn cop.

Trust me I am, but like I said....This road is 50 MPH speed limit and everyone flies. I knew when I saw the lights that I was not getting a speeding ticket, but glad nonetheless.
BTW I crept through 1st gear as I turned from a side street onto the street I got busted on. I hit the pedal right before I shifted out of first....which may have caused the tires to chirp upon shift. Point being....I did not pull off the line like I was doing 1/4 mile. I only pulled through second and stopped at third. I could have accelerated A LOT faster than what I did. Maybe that is why he was stuck with giving me squealing tires rather than the "accelerating fast" that others are referring to. The loud exhaust at high RPM does not help my cause.

Anyway this topic is beat into the ground....done talking about it. It was nice to hear about the "accelerating fast" rule, I am going to see if they enforce this in OH.

i cant get pulled over for bulls*** like that, i get a huge additude problem, speeding im nice as hell. but i got pulled over for my stock wing being too large (obstruction of view) and i got pulled over for tints once, and subposedly scratching second, but i didnt it was the turkey. i had to explain the whole turbo too him. he gave me a warning after i got on his case. i told him to give me a ticket for the tints, because i am getting a doctors note to have them (lies).

you ever stop and think that maybe the cop isn't just trying to harass you but rather sees your ricer ass in a ricerocket and says to himself "that kid is bound to do something dumb, i better go scare him so maybe he won't kill himself tonight"

Not directed at you Jose.

werd. you said you chirped 2nd, do you expect the cop to just sit there and say "meh, I'm sure he's not TRYING to break any laws/go 100mph." he did his job.

There are traffic cops and cops that deal with crime. The job of traffic cops is to make money for the city. OTHER cops deal with domestic violence, drugs, etc. and they will rarely pull you over unless you are doing something really stupid.

Sometimes its hard for people to accept that. My job for the government is actually to harass people without pulling in money. Its so much fun!

Points all taken. I guess I would be happier with a speeding ticket...that I at least know is un-contestible. I just hate BS tickets to get the city more money...like I said...myself and my friend never remember hearing my tires....and my radio was off. Maybe he just needed something on me so he could nail me with the tint. I think tint is an add-on and cannot be the reason for the pull over in OH. Well they can have my money, I don't really care. It won't be the last time and isn't the first.
