I still lol every time I hear about someone bringing our car to a friggin' drag strip...

I spanked a couple of SRT-4s and a WRX with a good driver at the autocross on saturday, now that was fun. =]

Emode- nope...I got tired of the plugs fouling out putting around town. Let's just say that it's "indexed" differently than stock.

jonboy688- There's a huge difference between spending money on a flywheel and clutch and a fmic. You can't make a clutch or a flywheel in your garage......at least I can't. But you can buy an ebay intercooler and a couple of bent pipes and start fabbing them up..... However after the time spent fabbing and welding it together it probably would be cheaper to buy one of those nice shiny hiboost kits......

jflo- it all depends on what you've done to the car....It probably will if you don't have an exhaust system.

mod list-

3" exhaust w/3" highflow cat,(homemade, turbo-back)
Co2 intercooler sprayer, (homemade)
Motor mounts (front and rear)
ported throttlebody, (homemade)
coolant bypass from throttlebody, (homemade)
ice-water pump through t.b.- (homemade)
k&n panel filter,
wrapped the exhaust manifold w/headerwrap, (homemade)
wrapped the upper intercooler with heat insulation,(homemade)
modified fcd,
Boost controller,
rear spring spacers, (homemade)
light weight flywheel,
act street performance clutch,
205/50/15 g-force drag radials,

murph1379- not exactly sure what you meant by that....last time I went autocrossing they put me in SM, and I had the quickest time of the class....

Wow, those are some great times!!!

My friends MSP ran a 14.1@99mph.

Only mods were intake filter and a T in the wategate line causeing it to spike to 10psi and fall to around 8.5psi. He also had some race gas in it. 110octain mixted with slightly less then 1/4 of 93octain.

He still hasnt gone to the track since his exhaust. Were going to go tomorrow night.

lol i always love how stuff is bad!!!!! u can only go so far on homemade items!!! i give u props u have the fastest msp with the least bought mods. and on the clutch and flywheel i was replying on a post u made on u could tell a diff but it was harder to launch, and u seen no gain. i was stating u get more gain out of a $1000 intercooler then ure 700+ clutch and flywheel, but anyways i will stay out of ure post now!good job!!!

is there proof of a faster msp with more "bought" mods?? just curious...

well that guy in canada ran a 13.16, but mine was slower last time i took it out to the track i ran a 13.55@102. with less boost but more mods a whole (bad hiboost fmic) 3 inch apex midpipe and a injen and 10psi. but i have alot more modds now!!!! we will see soon. 12 sec quarter mile times around the corner. thanks jonathan

i give ridiculous amounts of props to you blkzoomzoom, and i dont even care how fast someone's car is.

I normally think its foolish for someone to try to have "the fastest car" whether it be of their make/model or just car in general. I mean when it comes down to it its just a competition of who has the most money. Someone can go out and buy a MSP and a turboback and a FMIC and an intake, get forged internals, maybe upgrade the turbo and be really fast.......woopity do, all that took was money, and anyone with more money can make their car faster than the first one. You just bought the car and added your smarts and your resources to get where you are.

respect.

wow, 13 going for 12's.... wow! Nice work...

I'm all stock now except for some really expensive NOLOGY wires, didn't do anything, and a K&N panel filter.... wow!...

Great job!

jonboy688- I'm having a hard time figuring out what your saying....did you run a 13.55 w/ fmic, 3" exh.,cai, and 10psi? If so what else do you have done now?

jsahyoun- I basically made the bore bigger, and polished it. There is no longer a lip, where the pipe goes over is around 1-2 mm thick and a smooth transition. Just cant tighten the clamp too much cause it may collapse. It took a really long time to get everything smooth enough.

slug420- Thanks man!! I still had a couple of tricks to try but I don't think I will be doing them until the scamp is in the game again.....(might be middle of next year I'm thinking)

yeah ran a 13.55 with them mods. but i am just giving u a hard time!!!! lol no hard feelings man. there is no doubt you know what u are doing. ure times prove it, i just disagree on downing stuff as in ure comment on hiboost fmic (bad). but my new modds are gt28rs,mpi tuner, blow thru maf, alum flywheel and new clutch, 3inch d.p. and some more little stuff extra injectors few others odds and ends.

I like the fact that we managed to beat 2 of the STI's and a NSX...and the cobras, not even funny.

I guess if you don't drive in straight lines, our cars are pretty good stock.
