Hey everyone,
So while I was doing research about how I could get my engine bay more spiffy. I found these.
Gallery Fresh
But they are too expensive.
So I decided to do something like this without breaking the bank. I went down to the local Home Depot to see what they had.
Tools Needed.
10mm (3/8) Socket and Socket wrench
#2 Phillips Screw Driver
Spray paint color of your choice
tape
newspaper
Parts needed
6 6mmx20mm Machine bolts (with the reverse cone head)
6 6mmx16mm Machine bolts (same)
12 #12 Finishing washers (1 package comes with 6)
Step 1
-Paint washers
I used the reverse side of some tape on paper so that the washers were not blown away when i painted them. I did 5 coats just to make sure. I didnt add clear but I dont see how it would hurt. (wait a couple of hours for them to dry)
Step 2
-Pick out the bolts you will be replacing.
-There are 6 bolts on the fender
- The Rad fan support
- headlights
Outlined in blue
There are more places to choose from but these are the only ones I did for now.
Step 3
-Remove the old bolts and replace with the new machine screws and finishing washers.
Step 4
-Step back and review this awesomely cheap mod. lol
Here is some other pics of other cars with the same mod.
