what do you think

ok so i have been thinking about weather or not i want to go with a turbo kit RIGHT NOW i know that i will eventually. but i have been looking at Nitrous kits lately, and also the header/ highflow cat exhaust option that Draxas offers. now my question is; if I were to do the header now and want to go with the turbo later all i would have to do to switch over is just remove and sell the Header right? or is there more to it? because i want more power but i dont have 3,800.00 for the turbo, plus the $$$ for the pistons, and then to have Lentech upgrade my tranny. its a whole lot more $$$. i figure the header/exhaust system is 800.00 plus 600-700.00 for the Nitrous kit. so thats 1,500.00. and that can get me some pretty good power for now. and then i could save up some more later for my pistons/rods..i dunno what do you all think?

I was also in the same dilemna...turbo or Nitrous + mods
Finally I decided to take the nitrous and mods route for many reasons...
Nitrous is nice I think, IMO, since you have that power only when needed.

Most of the time I dont need that 55hp when I am driving normally so besides
a Turbo, that is always ''Stressing'' your engine. I also choose that way since
I think Turbo is an easy way to get big numbers...The n/a route is a more
complicated and more costly in the long run but very ''different'' than what
everyone wants to do...

I am slowly beggining, now I have flywheel/pulleys/cat-back/header (ordered)/nitrous
and my next step will probably be a port and polish with more agressive cams and probably a stand alone to tune everything right. I am very sure I will make great numbers with all that without the ''extra'' precautions and maintenance care you have
to give to a turbo'd car

are you the one that orderd the new draxas header? i was talking to nickolas and he said he had a guy in quebec that is getting the new header. it kind of convenient that draxas is a whole 5 miles from my house. they want to use my car as a R&D car

nitrous is fun and all, but it is very unpredictable. u can't tune for it and it is either a hit or miss situation. that was one reason why i decided to go f/I after i had my nitrous setup. u can tune for the right air fuel, and it is more reliable compared to nitrous. its all personal preferance, but i think being able to keep the right air fuel across the board to be safe is more important than the flip of the switch power. also, once the bottle runs out, your back to bein slow. fillin a bottle also cost about 50 dollars a pop, so u should take that into consideration also. Lets say u go through 2 bottles a month. thats 100 dollars a month and 1200 dollars a year. if u save that, u can put that toward a good turbo kit that is safer than nitrous. its addicting, and if ur not careful with how much u spray, especially with an aluminum block and pistons, you will blow it up. even having a built block doesnt gurantee that the pistons will last. nitrous burns the fuel alot hotter than stock, and a piston can only get hot soo much until it breaks. just my two cents.
