122mph!

140mph on my old N/A motor and 160mph on my turbo motor. Seeing your car hit redline in 5th gear is a great feeling.

What did you have done to it when you went 140?

It say's N/A, so i figure he had simple basic bolt-on's. Same here, (had a 94 Protege LX) with bolt-on's and Got to 135mph quite a few time's. It got to 125mph faster than my MP3 does. let's put it this way, it's faster than my MP3 period.

Curb weight: 2359lbs
1.8L DOHC 16-VALVE
125HP@6500rpms
114lb-fts@4500rpms
(Redline) 7000rpms

well, i don't know what to tell you about breaking 110. You can definetly do it. Bring 4th up to about 100MPH and then shift into 5th.. You'll definetly bring it past 110. Whats probably happening is your in mid 5th @ 110 and you just don't have enough road.

my geo prizm could do 115, that ****** was drag limited, fealt like it was going to lift off the ground, speedo said "Unleaded fuel only" , kind of odd to see your needle going almost strait down

what about the revlimiter? anybody know how fast you would have to be going for the car to hit the revlimiter?

around 140 I think

what is the rev limiter?
if the rev limiter is say 7200rpm
acording to the first pic 130mph at ~6000rpm
you would hit 156mph at 7200 rpm

i did approx 140mph in a Audi A4 Turbo Diesel on the autobahn in Germany. Love the lack of speed limits. Had to get a little downhill to get that fast. Level it would do 130. I say approx because it was with kph.

For a quick and easy approximate kph to mph conversion, multiply by 6 and then drop the last digit. 100kph ~ 60mph
