12.9@106!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey driver311, this run was on 15 inch slicks.
How much time would be taken off from your et if you would have gone with a radial? And, what size radial would you suggest? 16 inch?

I suggest this to you and anyone who wants to run radials. Rota grid in 16inch and hoosier quick time pro 26x8x16 inch drag radials. The smaller ones in a 225 just dont hook at all. I tried trust me. LOL

lol i agree, except on running the slips. Im using them as my winter wheels right now and they fit perfect. 16x7 13.5lbs

Why the larger size? I don't have the extra money to try every size availabe :D . I have seen many friends run the BFG radials with good results, but on other cars than the speed 3. Have you tried both sizes? What happens to the speedo?
Is it off? I want to drive to and from the races with them.

If a Mustang cant hook with DR's or my Truck, the MS3 isnt going to either. Waste of money. Just go straight to the hoosiers and enjoy the money well spent and saved :)

my mustang did 10's on dr's. dr's require a little more finess than a full slick, but a good driver can get it done. i will go with a dr on my ms3. i dont want to deal with tubes in a full slick. i am thinking about the 235/60/15 mickey thompson ET streets. they are big but should fit.

i would just have to figure out the proper rim offset and spacer size.

Hoosiers in that size dont need tubes bud.

Just curious, why don't we start threads like on the SRT4 forum, and sticky them. Threads like "The official winter tire thread" "Tire reviews/comments/results" "MS3 Wheen Gallery" "Track tires"...

Check out MandHtires.com too.

They have some great tires. I use them on my SRT-4 and love them. Haven't tried the Hoosiers or MT's though. I cut 1.7 and 1.8 60' with a roughly 330 whp SRT-4. (I am by no means try to talk my car up since I know this is a MS3 forum, just trying to give some real life data on the tires and what kind of power I am using them with). M&H is worth looking into.

you sir are a hero...a 12.9 is great especially for a high powered front driver. Im loving this car more and more every time i read about it, cant wait to get my own and start tearing up the track.

ok i found them for sale at summit racing. they say "yes" you need tubes....

i know some people run slicks with no tubes, but it isnt a good idea.

Well, i nail consistant 1.47 60 ft times in my truck with no tubes and no screws... you dont need tubes, trust me. When you goto a 30 inch tire X 12 inches wide, thats when tubes are needed. When we first started racing these trucks, we used the same exact tire you want, but it was 10 inches wide. They said tubes are required, but they arent. If you want to waste another $165 for tubes and added peace of mind, go for it. Tubes with allow you to drop your tires down to 8 psi where as no tubes, you gotta keep em at 12PSI or above.
