12.4 quarter mile!

Dude, I've been off the turnip truck a little longer than that. (cheers2)

Launch isn't about the 150 extra horspower, fact is, you probably aren't using much more than I am at that point...you really can't. Watcha tryin to do, launch off a 2-step at 6000rpm?

However, I know you can do better than a 2.0 on slicks, regardless of HP added especially if you tie this bronco of a motor down, and stiffen the hell out of the suspension.

All that HP is going to help you out the back door more than anything.

This guy, driver311, got 1.8 60ft's on drag radials, or maybe true slicks, not sure. Didn't have much in way of mods other than 18 psi MBC, but could drive.

I don't claim to be able to launch well. Best I can do on stock tires and wheels are 2.1's and mostly 2.2's, frankly. My car needs the driver mod.

But if Race Roots can get their launch down to those 1.8's those tires will do, they will have some seriously quick times. I agree with Darth, while still extending congrats to Race Roots for the power they are building.

i ran 1.90's on drag radials when i was at 355whp. took a few days at the track to get it down.

it's not easy. it takes practice. the raceroots car has been to the track, what? 2 times?

its winter, its harder and harder to find open tracks. give them time. you'll see it happen.
