#1104 has been wrecked... it's new owner...

I hope the passenger will come out ok. I cannot imagine the pain the driver's family is going through. I feel for them.

That is sad. my prayers are with that kids family. you just hate to hear that a young kid that had his whole life ahead of him is dead and for what.

This really sucks, I feel really funny right now, funnylittleman hang in there.

the car is designed to handle good at lower speeds but above 70 its no beter than a camaro. its not a supercar with calculated downforce to make it stick to the road.

I could not disagree more 03BlkMicaSPD but we don't need to get into that here.

hopefully the passenger stays alive and can tell exactly what happened

even though this wont bring him back alive but a least his parents will know what really happened

maybe you will agree with this, I wasnt taking a hit at the MSPs handling capabilities. if you hit a slick spot in the road at 80 on a sharp corner, your not going to make it in anything, camaro or MSP. Yeah I know the car handles relativly better than other cars at higher speeds. But no car is safe on the STREET at high speeds.

so sad to hear about this...

another sad thing is that ceej would be up in here saying "i told you so"

I know this is morbid, but if you want to see what's left of the car, I think I saw it today.

I was with my U14 boys soccer team at Winterset Park, (Woodburn road and 236 in Fairfax), and the field is directly behind the Fairfax County Police Communications Building lot. As we were walking to the field, you could see the remains of a black 2003 MSP inside the fenced off area, along with numerous other wrecks. It was pretty bad.

It just so happens that the boys I coach are from Vienna, and one of them knew of the person who died, in one of those "friend of my sisters boyfriend" ways. While seeing the wreckage was sobering, it did lead to some pretty serious discussions with some of our parents and players about cars, safety, etc. I know all the 13 and 14 years olds on my team will remember this one for a long time. And hopefully when they reach the driving age, they will make the right choices that keep them alive.
