1/4 mile times

i took my protege5 to the track last friday. ended up getting in 3 runs. every single run was in the 16.2's. speeds varied from 79-84 60 foot was around 2.44. it was my first time at the track and i left every thing in my car. i.e. spare tire seats and what ever else is easy to pull out. i'm gonna go again next friday with my car stripped and see what i get then. there was also a mazdaspeed runnin 16.8's with dealer plates there. i think he was asleep or something.(uhm)
my current mods are.... intake & exhaust cam, injen cai, jic exaust, b&m short shifter, eibach lowering springs.

im surprised that you could run a p5 at 16.2 with those mods

all i have on mine is an intake and muffler

I ran a 14.88 @97.73mph on saturday. It was my first time ever at the track. my 60' time was 2.456. I need to work on that, wheel hop killed me.

When I was @ 6psi with an FMU, I ran a 14.9. I'm sure my car is a bit faster now.

the only time i got bad wheel hop was when i over revved at the take off. the other 2 runs i had were smooth as butter.

Last year I ran a 14.644. After a few updates I'll be running high 13's low 14's

nice strip out everything you don't need in there and hope for some high 15's

Yeah..Your best bet is to remove all non essentails..aka..sub's/box, spare tire, and back seat if possible..oh..and try to go to the track w/ under 1/2 tank of gas!

And i ran a 15.11 @ 91 MPH

Wow, I really suck at driving the FWD. Good times. I ran a 17.45 stock. I'll get back once the track opens, since it's gonna be the last year my local track is open. Hopefully the mods I did will get me a bit faster, and maybe I can drive better!

I know a guy with a 5speed P5 that ran 17.5, it was his first time at the track. 16.2 is awsome for a NA P5

I'll have to get some quartermile times to compare but my stock p5 seems to run .2-.3s faster than modded p5's in the eigth mile. In may I should be able to get some quartermile numbers for comparison.
