Hi guys, new member here,
I've recently picked up a 2009 GT MT and notice the clutch pedal has some stiffness to it,
travel is smooth and normal feeling but just you have to push down on it with a decent amount of force. Kind of reminds me of my old 240sx with an ACT Extreme PP on it.
these things normally like that? I'm getting used to it but just think its kind of weird that a car/van like this would have a pedal effort like that from factory.

For more comparison's sake more effort than my old 03 MSP too

Besides that and the fact its a little underpowered (my recent road trip really reinforced this) I'm loving this thing and the way it handles!

fluid is not darkened and at proper level
I also forgot to mention that engagement point for clutch pedal is quite high off the floor, something that took some getting used to

I was thinking problem with the hydraulic end of the slave cylinder, but you would see its effects in the brake fluid. I believe that my clutch engages pretty high, but I have gotten well beyond the point of noticing. It is a very light clutch, but not Honda-light. All in all, its a very easy clutch to modulate & I think a pretty good clutch to learn on. If you're not getting that, I think a service visit is in order.

thanks for your input thaxman, mine's definitely not on the light side, especially for a hydraulic clutch that's an unmodified family hauler. I'll have to find another similar 5 to do a quick comparison on. I did compare to a friend's 07 Mazda3 GT and her's was lighter for sure.
