08 Bluetooth & iphone connector question

Just bought an 08 GT. It has bluetooth for phone only (no music). Is there an ipod connector that will allow my iphone to connect via BT for calls while using the physical connector for charging and audio?

I know I can use the aux in jack, but if possible I'd like to be able to just use the single connector to both charge and connect for music.

Thanks for any advice. My wife loves the car and I'm having fun tinkering with all the gadgets.

PS: I'd also be open to options for upgrading the Bluetooth if that's possible.

It might be the correct option. My question is what happens when I connect an iPhone instead of an iPod?

Will my iPhone still use Bluetooth for my hands-free phone and play music through the wired connector, or does plugging in to the connector automatically eliminate the ability to use the in-car Bluetooth for phone calls?

I'm also wondering if it's possible to just upgrade the Bluetooth module to a later version which allows both phone + streaming music via Bluetooth.

Not sure about upgrading the HF/BT unit. I doubt it would be plug an play, but no idea unless someone tries it.

Can you head music on your head phones while connected to the BT in the car? or while hooked up to the AUX?

I think that would be rather difficult. Kinda like upgrading the advance key to the advance fob system, just not feasible and has never been tried. Welcome to the forums.
