07 M3 GT Hatch: Rough Idle?

07 M3 GT Hatch (BLUE!)
I'm thinking I should perhaps post this in the MEC forums, but I'll try here first in the 3 forums...
Is it "normal" to have a "rough" idle on the 07 3 GT? I got my car just under a month ago, and have noticed in the time that I've driven it (it's spent half it's lifetime with me as an owner in the shop dealing with head unit issues) that it seems that it has a rough idle. I can understand when it's in the 30's and 40's when I start the car, it should idle "high" but that should go away after warming it up.

I've noticed the following:
-Even after I warm it up for 3-5 minutes, it idles higher than I'd expect
-It idles high even when the weather is warm (1500 rpm on startup even when it's 50 or 60 degrees outside), and doesn't drop down within 30 seconds-1 minute (I end up warming up my car even in 60 degree days)
-At low rpm's, it is rough. Maybe it's just the way it down-shifts (I have an automatic, I'm too injured too often to have a stick shift anymore), but I feel like the engine is dancing as I idle or slow down or speed up from a stop

My old car was an 03 P5 (also automatic, but only 4 speeds where this is a 5 speed), and it was NOTHING like this.

I didn't notice it on my test-drive, but maybe I was just too excited about replacing my P5. I hate to say it, but between the horrible experiences I had with my dealership, the head unit problems I've had, the nav system that is a disappointment, and now this where the car feels "rough," I've never been more disappointed with a car--a car I really wanted and expected to love as much as I loved my P5.

Any ideas? Is this normal? Maybe I should have someone else drive it who knows more about how it should feel, maybe I'm just imgaining things...
