Does anyone know where I can find the volume of air space in the stock sub enclosure?

Also is there another 8" sub that I can buy that would sound better in the stock enclosure?

Hmmm, I'd say the electronics forum would probably be a better source for info, but I do recall reading something elsewhere of some guy saying of a better speaker he put in his box.

Kind of on the bottom of my mod list considering the stock stereo is pretty dang good. :)

This has been discussed several times in the audio forums. I don't believe anyone has actually measured the volume of the box yet.

However before I got my custom enclosure done I put a JL Audio W3v2 8" sub in mine and it was a great improvement over stock. The stock sub sucks in my opinion, and well it's still only a 8" sub, the single JL was much better then the kenwood.

Too bad we don't have an actual MSP audio forum.

Yea dude you can change out the stock 8" I think Servoeyes is using a JL. He likes them, maybe you will too. :D

1st MSP also has some knowledge about the air volume, you could PM him and ask.

I already pm'd an admin and haven't heard squat. I feel like the whole MSP section should be sectioned off.
Audio, MOD's, ....whatever.

I dunno the actual air space, but if you get crutchfield, the 8 inch kicker comp isnt to far off from the 8 inch kenwood as far as cu. ft. specs and its a far better speaker.

you can call airesearch(q-logic)they make the enclosure.as for the kenwood sucking nuts, the main reason is that it is an 8 ohm speaker and the amp only produces a few watts at 8ohms mono.by going to a 4 ohm speaker youll see a gain due to getting more power.as for sticking in a jl audio speaker,go for it they kick ass!!
