02 P5 roof rack filler caps?

Hey everyone, so I decided I liked the streamlined look without the cross bars (note the hot shark fin!!), but I'll probably still use the rack from time to time, so I don't want to remove the rails entirely. Does anyone have a part number (if they exist?) for what would be a snap-in filler for the 02? I've seen pics for the 03 filler caps, and they're much different of course. I circled where they should go if I'm not explaining this very clearly. I already know about the long strips for after you remove the rails, but that ain't what I need either... Thanks!

I want to know if their is a peice that will replace that entire peice... I hate the look of hte filler caps... it makes the car looks like it has slicked back hair of all things!!

Aw come on, you know you love the roof rack. It gives the car a sort of a "hey I can use my roof for hauling things" kind of look.

I just bought all the parts for the roof rail/rack delete through onlinemazdaparts.com with Jason. Total came out to ~$159. I don't have the part numbers but I can give you the website for them. Pic attached. You will need the Two $62 strips, left and right. 10 Clip Backs. 4 Cap Backs. 1 of each end caps. Front LT, Front RT, Rear LT, and Rear RT.

There's the link to the right strip.

As far as the Caps for the rails. 2nd Attachment. You'll need 11 and 12

Link to the front right one. You can go from there. :)

hell yeah! 11 is exactly it! i feel like the stealership should have given those to me 6 years ago. oh well. thanks jone!

i gave up looking for those caps. i'm just keeping my car the way it is, with no rack, but also no fillers until i can find some.

I sold mine last summer for $50 because I thought I didn't need them (had the crossbars on).

I'm just now getting back into mountain biking so I picked a up a cheap yakima rack from a co-worker so I removed the stock bars. But now I need the caps again.

I found some on the FS forum for $50 a few days ago.

exactly what I needed

For anyone curious, they were in stock, shipped quick, and exactly what I needed. I'm considering getting the rear ones, but the fronts were a must. Excuse the ridiculous amount of pollen!

It was $45, but I wasn't looking for aerodynamics. I just didn't want the rails to look like s*** without the caps.

bringing this back from the dead.... I want the caps but I was wondering.... it says the caps are for cars w/ out the sunroof... Are the rails/caps different for the cars w/ sunroof's? Mine has a sunroof and I was just wondering if anybody had bought these and put them on a car w/ a sunroof... does it fit? I couldn't imagine them designing two different racks... peace

They should be the same parts. If you want to be on the safe side all you have to do is add the one that has "w/sunroof" on the list. You can PM (Jason)Bagman1 to make sure, he's in charge of onlinemazdaparts.com

Thanks for the heads up on this part! I was going to get the rails and pull my racks altogether but then I might want to use them someday and to have the quicker add/remove choice is nice! Ordering this week.
