I have been lurking around this forum for some time and posting my .2 cents from time to time. well some history on my 2002.5 protege5; i bought the car from a military family and they were the first owners. I have every receipt for every oil change and maintenance done to her. I bought the car with 90,000 miles bone stock it now has 96,000 miles lol dont drive her much. It is an auto because my previous 8 cars were manual. i decided not to do anything to the car, but as we all know that doesnt work out. so here is some progress:
this is how i bought her:

i then did the fog light mod and did a write up on here(yes my foglight is cracked lol):

then i bought 6k hids and put on an accord front lip:

then i decided to paint my VC red:

i got the windows tinted 20% rear and 35% front, painted the rear valance and key trim as well as doing the evil M and getting soft surfboard racks( i hate getting wax on my seats in the summer time):

then i got a hell of a deal on some tein stech springs with struts for 100 bucks local. picked them up and put them on:

then i got a new kenwood head unit with aux port and an in car antenna:

yesterday i decided to do the headlight black out i thought they would look good on my car so i went for it after 3 hours of labor heres the results:

and this is what it looks like today(yes i know the lip is too short im waiting to get my money right and ill prob get a dg lip):

plans for it are new speakers, and a small 10 inch sub with a 600w amp. a new lip cuz the one i have is short. Some wheels im still deciding 17s or 16's..
let me know what you guys think so far!!!

I didn't know the Accord lip didn't go all the way to the wheel fender, that's a shame.

Looks good though, I would personally remove the "Mazda" logo from the front grille.

Looks really good man. You should buy my wheels :)
thanks!! hmmm how far are you from Virginia beach?

the lip i have on there is the cb7 lip because i had a spare cb7 bumper laying around..but i do know that the newer accords 94-97 fits perfect. there hasnt been any at the junk yard lately, thanks!! but i like the Mazda logo on the grille for some reason so its going to stay there :)

ok so update on the car.
bought a DGM front lip, mint blue eye lids, yellow fogs, made an intake from old piping in my garage, and i just installed a Memphis 12 inch sub with a memphis 500 watt amp and memphis ported box. its too loud for me but i have the gain turned down. i got the setup for 200 bucks!

Auto makes things easier especially if you deal with a lot of stop lights like me. Manual just gets annoying after awhile. I don't blame you for gettin an automatic I bet va beach sucks during the summer time

yeah ive owned my share of manual cars, even though i do miss driving a manual, i love the auto just get in after a good workout at the gym or a long surf sesh and drive, and it also keeps me out of trouble..not like the protege5 is fast or anything :p

How does that in car antenna fair? Any reception difference over stock?
its pretty good it picks up my local radio stations. i havent tried AM with it though. i have sirius satellite radio so i barely listen to FM radio lol.

new wheels and tires! 215/40/17 sorry for crappy pics.
