    Big Project cont.

I will post some pics when I get a chance. I have been too busy to finish up the tweaking aspects of the install.

    Big Project cont.

Another thing is that many of you were right about the setting. It is a pain in th butt trying to get everything set correctly. Here is what I have done so far: 1. ran the tweets inline with the 5x7 and it made one heckava difference. They are now screaming. They are almost ear piercing. 2...

    Big Project cont.

Well spent last weekend getting everything hooked up. (Check out About to start a Big Project if interested). Anyways, I got everything into the Speed and back together only to have some problems. First the Infinity 5x7 are WAY overrated. Blew them, with gains down, using my four channel Fosgate...

    Inner door panel removal?

Actually, the suggestion above sounds good. First take off the door panel. Next, then roll the window back to the top. Then, possibly duct tape it so that it will stay in position (outside if tinted). I really think it is not worth the effort because you can get to almost all of it through...

About to start a BIG Project...

Really its not that "I Insist" on runnng the 8. See, I installed the "Jack Placed Stealth Box" and cut and trimmed the rear interior to make it fit properly. To NOT use it means I would have to replace interior pieces that have been damaged due to the install. So, I am between a rock and a hard...

About to start a BIG Project...

Believe it or not... The JL Audio Summing device sums the front, rear, and sub from the factory and feeds it into the Cleansweep as ONLY two channels (Front and Rear). So, the Cleansweep only has a FRONT and REAR RCA output to the subs. I have no earthly idea why they did NOT include a SUB...

    Inner door panel removal?

I was in your exact perdicament (sp?). I went as far as unbolting the window bolts and the glass fell (scary as hell). Then I decided against it because my sons hands could fit almost everywhere needed to put sound deadening. Also, when I replaced the window bolts the window still went up, but...

About to start a BIG Project...

I was just thinking. If I knew the frequency response I wanted to have, could I not put an old fashioned "coil" on it to only allow a certain sound???50 - 150 Hz +/- 2 dB Maybe...50-150 HZ +/- 2 db?

About to start a BIG Project...

I have been considering a gel type setup as well. Only wonder if they make a very small one??? As far as the 8 goes, I will run it off the rear of the four channel and have it set to only mid level frequency. Think that will work?

You are correct the amps are 1 ohm stable. I ditched the P2 plan and bought two 2 ohm Pioneer Premier TS-W3002D2 3000 watt shouldnt worry about blowing them now at1 ohm wire parrallel (also keep in mind every connection is heat shrinked or hot glued, which is a trick I have found that works...

How would you suggest running an aught gauge wire to the back?

the weight isnt an issue. I weigh 250+ so losing weight would solve my weight problem lol. It is a HUGE job though. How did it help? I mean was it worth it?(guitar)

How would you suggest running an aught gauge wire to the back?

Thanks man, I figured it out. I have my whole car gutted. Scary but done. (nailbyt) I Sound deadened the doors and ran my wires. So the front is done and the door panels are put back on. Put the deadening material all under where the spare goes. Ready to start the back doors but got TN vs...
