How would you suggest running an aught gauge wire to the back?

Just wondering if anyone has any pics of how they ran their Power wire from the front to the rear? Thanks(gun)

I am assuming this is for a MZ3/MS3 due to the area it has been posted. The only thing that should differ would be the location of a factory grommet in the firewall if it is on a different vehicle.

I ran my 0 gauge from the battery, behind the heat shields to the factory grommet behind the glove box. To access this grommet, I removed the glove box.

From there, I removed the factory molding along the carpet and ran the wire under the carpet. When I got to the back seat, I fished the wire under using a bent coat hanger. If you feel really productive, you could remove the back seat.

Another option is to run it under the car and drill through to your hatch, but I have never been brave enough to attempt this.

Thanks for the response. Could you describe how you removed the glove box? or post a link to where it explains. I do not want to break anything. again thanks.

Also, you wouldnt know how to get the bottom half of the center console out?(headbang)

If you watch the beginning of this video it will show you how to remove the glove box.

You pull off the trim above the glove box and stereo, unscrew two screws at the top and pull it out. Other than the 2 screws, the glove box just clips in place. You then disconnect the light on top of the glove box.

Thanks man, I figured it out. I have my whole car gutted. Scary but done. (nailbyt) I Sound deadened the doors and ran my wires. So the front is done and the door panels are put back on. Put the deadening material all under where the spare goes. Ready to start the back doors but got TN vs AL tomorrow so I guess I will be driving the 86 Silverado lol. Thanks for your help.

Anytime. I still have yet to deaden the doors. It was -20 celcius when I installed my system :)

goodness you all are following the same route i did. I put over $500 worth of dynomat in my p5 all in the doors and the whole trunk, top bottom, sides and all. it really helps, BUT remember, it adds weight. Enjoy it.

the weight isnt an issue. I weigh 250+ so losing weight would solve my weight problem lol. It is a HUGE job though. How did it help? I mean was it worth it?(guitar)

absolutely awesome. I had no vibrations on the outside of the car at ear bleeding volume. with the doors closed i could turn the system up all the way and you could not hear it from 50ft away. was running hifonics 12" on 600watt mono, it wasn't competition ready, but it was nasty. sold it for $100 a few weeks ago.

also i would put some weather stripping under the wing. I had major vibes there.
