I have seen some Rockfords on special 2 for 1. 12s for about $79. then get an amp. Factory systems suck a$$. I have never heard a good sounding factory system. That is the first thing I change.

Any more the only use for a center channel is if you put 5.1 in it. other than that is for larger cars to help the sound stage. for normal peeps It's not needed.

I would go with Alpine also. I have run Alpine CD decks in all my comp vehicles, including my 02 USACi World champion.
I agree about the 3 disc indash. I have never seen one that was any good.

yeah, over priced over rated crap. Not sold at true car audio shops, I have only seen them sold at pawn shops, flea markets and places that also sell furnature. There is dozens out there with better sound for less $$$$$.

Also Check with like autoparts stores for sports car clubs that auto X but don't have the events on SCCA web site. I cut my teeth Autocrossing in Rapid City, SD. with the Black Hills Sports car club they used all SCCA rules but wasn't a member club.
