I must be doing something different than you folks. Even when we had -30 wind chills I got 23/24 mpg. This last fill up with some 20 degree days I got 27mpg. Trip computer avg was around 26.

That sucks, those potenzas are useless in the snow. Day after I got my ms3 I slid down a hill by my house that was completely coated in ice, into a snow bank. Fortunately it was fluffy soft snow and I was going maybe 2 mph. I ditched those Potenzas quick for some Pirelli Winter 240 Scottozero...

What's wrong with that, and it is not just for winter it is my daily driver. With winter tires the speed3 handles almost as well as my dad's audi with quattro. I was driving a 06 Cobalt SS prior to this and the car was just a POS and I needed something nicer.
