Thanks, but I'm in CA and want a car which can pass emissions, whether I keep the vehicle or sell it. Really sucks in that I'm just past the 80k cat warranty or I'd have the dealership replace if for free.

Thanks. I assume I could probably use a generic plug washer from Autozone, as long as it's a crush variety. Every car I've worked on has had fairly similar oil plugs/washers.

I have the EXACT same problem right now. Was throwing a 0300, cleaned the EGR, still got it. Replaced plugs and wires. Still had it. Replaced EGR (what the hell), still there. Finally replaced coils and *bingo* no more code. All this over the course of two weeks with the car driving like...

I'm changing my transmission fluid tonight and want to pick up a new washer for the plug in the pan. Anyone know what size/type it is? I don't see anything about it in the service manual, other than that it should be replaced when changing the fluid. Unfortunately, I'm not near a dealership...
