Yes. It's a race between what ever shows up first... Either I'll be going the VW route or the Mazda Route. I haven't found a Golf 1.8t with a 5 speed yet. I hope those people who wanted the mazda decide to turn it down. I'll be all over it. :-)

Well I just got directions from google map. It says it's about 322 miles away. I know my dad won't want to drive that far... If I had my own car, I'd gladly drive down there... But I can't. :-/ My dad isn't too happy about the whole gas thing... And if I gave him gas money, he still wouldn't be...

I really do understand what you are saying. I would rather buy that car instead of the one I'm looking at. But I don't know how far staten island is, and I know my dad doesn't want to drive that far. If he could come up here, I'd definitely choose his over this other one... But right now, this...

Checked out the protege, and am still excited over the rareity of the 2.0 and the 5 speed in this area... However, it has scratches on the rear bumper (the very left side and the very right side), and chips on the hood, and a few on the drivers side (not to noticeable though on the drivers side...
