I found a 2.0!!!

just reread a apost or two and saw that you'd be interested in a p5 as well, there are a few around here (Rome) for sale, a white 2003 and a dark blue one. I think I saw another one kicking around somewhere as well. I can go grab you pics of the two P5s if you want.

Yeah. I found one P5 like 7 miles from where I live that's in my price range (8300), but it has 77,000 miles and I didn't really want to stray to far from 50,000... So I think the one I found now is the better deal...

Checked out the protege, and am still excited over the rareity of the 2.0 and the 5 speed in this area... However, it has scratches on the rear bumper (the very left side and the very right side), and chips on the hood, and a few on the drivers side (not to noticeable though on the drivers side, unless one looks very hard) suggesting that the driver that owned this was a tail gater... I didn't really look at the passengers side too well. That's got me dissapointed, but I was planning on purchasing a carbon fiber hood anyways... As for the bumper, the scratches could be buffable as well as the drivers side, and maybe I was thinking if I got the car, I'd repurchase another stock bumper... Well, my dad still wants to see it, so I'll show it to him, and see what he thinks, and go from there. His opinion may influence my decision on if I want this car or not... I will try and bargain a good few hundred off for the scratches though, before I turn it down... I haven't looked under the hood yet or in the interior or under the car...

it might be a small drive to make --- but IMO buying from someone that take care of there car compared to a used car lot that doesnt know s*** about the car -- is well worth the drive.
I think your dad will understand --- :)

You know you wanna buy mine. Hell of a deal over that one you found (first)

Good luck with whatever you do though and take it easy on those corners lol.

I really do understand what you are saying. I would rather buy that car instead of the one I'm looking at. But I don't know how far staten island is, and I know my dad doesn't want to drive that far. If he could come up here, I'd definitely choose his over this other one... But right now, this is my only choice, since it's 4 miles away. Again, I'd take his over the one I'm looking at any day. But I can always bargain with this one, and how ever much I can get off, I'll just use the money to get a new hood and a new bumper. And it'll be good as new. I can then buff the scratches out the door. :-)

Well I just got directions from google map. It says it's about 322 miles away. I know my dad won't want to drive that far... If I had my own car, I'd gladly drive down there... But I can't. :-/ My dad isn't too happy about the whole gas thing... And if I gave him gas money, he still wouldn't be in the mood to drive down there... All the other proteges I can find, are out of my price range by like 2 or 3k that are within 25 miles of where I live...

Well, that 2.0 I found... Out the window... It was sold to someone else yesterday... I'm kind of sad about that... But I know I can save and hopefully get something better... I still think that 2.0 would have been fun. (headshake

I'll drive mine up to you ... but there are probably more imperfections than you'd like
