    2017 CX-5 Auto start

Had mine installed yesterday at Lee's Electronics in East Brunswick, NJ ... took him a little over an hour. $399 installed. He offered the Drone mobile for another $125 but I declined. I would do it if there were no monthly fee. EDIT: I mean he offered drone mobile for $125 installed if I...

anyone carry skis and snowboards on roof rack?

In the picture they use on the mazda accessories site, their ski/snowboard rack is not mounted on the CX-5 crossbars. The pictures I see online of snowboards on an actual CX5 suffer the same issue (one clamp in outside the bindings, one clamp in between). I guess that is just the way it is...

anyone carry skis and snowboards on roof rack?

I bought OEM crossbars for my roof rails, and installed my Yakima FatCat 4. After installing, I realized that the crossbars don't spread apart enough to get both bindings between the yakima clamps. I don't even have that wide of a stance. Anyone else have this issue? I moved the front...

OEM all weather mats vs. Weathertech

Love my aries ones. I had weathertech in my other car and it was slippery when it got wet, and the edges curled up after a couple of years.

    New 2017 CX-5 Revealed

I picked up my 2016.5 after seeing the renders of the update, so this is no surprise to me (they were pretty accurate). There are things I like about the redesign, and there are things that I like about my 2016.5.... If I were shopping now, I'd probably still get the 2016.5 if they gave me a...

How many would upgrade to the 2017 CX5 if.....

I bought the CX-5 because of the handling, utility, features and design you get @ $30k and under. If it has 275HP but costs me in the mid to upper $30's, then I would pass. There are a lot more options at that point.

Remote starter and other annoyances from new owner

I find myself closing and reclosing the hatch a lot because it didn't shut all the way. I wish there was at least a soft close in the back. This is something knew that car didn't have, but didn't think I would want until I actually got the car. Regarding the remote start... my nissan would...

    CX-5 : Where's the trash can?

My old toyota 4runner had a lift up trash bag holder built in to the front armrest/console. It was actually pretty neat.

Smart City Brake Support - How do I know if its working?

I have a GT with tech package, so AFAIK, I should have smart city brake support. I have it turned on in the settings menu, but I don't know if its working. In bumper to bumper traffic, I can get really close to the car in front of me without any feeling of auto braking, but I'm thinking maybe...

intuitive "no look" activation of sport mode switch

Are they both USA spec cars? I'm pretty sure its standard procedure to not honor warranties for cars from different markets.

intuitive "no look" activation of sport mode switch

I am so f'ing jealous. edit: but I probably wouldn't feel that safe doing 120 in an SUV.

intuitive "no look" activation of sport mode switch

Mine is going back in a year or so when the facelift comes out. 6MT this time. While the DCT is fast, it just isn't that much fun. If lap times mattered, then maybe, but I'm no track junkie. Which brings us back on topic.... (hijack) Sport mode in the CX-5 gives us an option to have a...

intuitive "no look" activation of sport mode switch

    No way, I don't believe it. The E92 M3 ran a 4.1s 0-60. Regardless, the M3 isn't and never was about 0-60 times.

intuitive "no look" activation of sport mode switch

Thats the thing about the M3/4 that i like.... it can be very subtle, and low key. Most people probably wouldn't know the difference between a stock M3 and a 340i by just looking at it. On the flip side, you can go Austin yellow, mod it like crazy, and make it as flashy, loud and fast as you...
