Everyone here in the Netherlands uses 0W-20 as far as I recon, the old Mazda CX-5 we had also ran on 0W-20.. and it's the main oil they recommend in our manual.
So to summarize you're not recommending it to me? I'm still not sure whether to buy this Motul oil or not..
Okay that's cool. $40 incl. shipping to the Netherlands. Does take a while though. The "old" current oil is 12 months old now and we drove 7500 miles with it. The Motul oil is good quality right? I don't know the brand that well ;-)
Shipping from USA does take some time:
Arrives between Aug...
Hi Guys,
I went to the Mazda dealer and got the "PE01-14-302B-9A" filter from Japan! Happy with that. Including the ring it cost me $22,89
So now I'm down to this oil
Edit: I nowsee this is API-SP instead of API-SN, is that an issue?

Thanks yrwei52 I'll send an e-mail to the dealer if I can get any of those parts.
VQ35DE, it's tough for me to get those to the Netherlands. Also I'd like to change oil really quickly now. It's already too late in my opinion..
Looks like Mobil1 AFE 0w20 is a good option here in the Netherlands...
Morning Everyone,
This is probably topic #482 and a little bit over that about oil filter and oil.
We used to own a 2014 Mazda CX-5 2.0 MT and 6 months ago we upgraded to a 2018 Mazda CX-5 AT.
Two simple questions:
Does this engine still take Castrol Edge Professional V 0W20, I've been happy...
Looks very neat, it's that I don't own a CX-5 myself otherwise I'd have bought it! Lovely find.
@STE92VE I can't see those images?
Would love to make a paper model myself
First of all great purchase, I hope you are happy with it. I drive an 2014 with M/T and I do not recognize this sound. However your car is new, I'd ask the dealer. They might know the sound and can reassure you it's OK or perhaps a bad thing.
I haven't read the whole topic but I have a Mazda CX-5 2.0.
Bought at: 27k miles (with new oil and filter from Mazda dealer)
First oil change: 12,5k miles
Second oil change: 15k miles
I just did the second oil change this weekend and I can not recommend a 15k mile interval. The oil was very...
I know I was a big believer of the SkyActiv platform being all Mazda, but I have my doubts. I recently got my CX-5 checked by a mechanic and he said he had his hands on quite a few CX-5's, and he could tell me a few interesting things. One being that at least the rear subframe is definately from...
I'm here to share my information aswell.
2014 CX-5 2.0 engine @52000 miles.
Plug pulled: Mazda ILKAR7L 11 (it says it on the spark plug..)
Replaced with: NGK ILKAR7L 11 (paid $25.15 a piece in The Netherlands).
Replaced oil and oil filter with EDGE 0W20 V with original OEM oil filter.
Did a...
Just one, I know that is not the correct way to measure. But I had it running on 95, drove it until I had 11 miles left on the fuel gage and filled it up with 102. I honestly don't believe I've mixed a lot of 95 with 102.
Reporting in, I was unable to feel a real difference, maybe ever so slightly, and no holding back while accelerating hard multiple times, but no improved top speed or acceleration imho.
Here in the Netherlands we use RON95 as regular and RON98 as premium. A nearby dealer has RON102 "racing fuel" (lol right, very expensive). Anyway this easily influenced Dutch guy just filled up his Mazda CX-5 2.0 with RON102 fuel. I do think I can feel a difference between RON95 and RON98...
I'm not sure anymore after reading this thread.
I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 2.0 and I was about to buy these spark plugs (page takes 5 seconds to load):

Should I buy them, or...
You shouldn't be afraid of the car dying on the road, as soon as it starts it'll keep running. The car will charge the battery. Just make sure you drive 10+ miles before turning it off again.
I don't know anything about how long lights stay on, since I've got my CX-5 just a month now.
P.s...
