Someone on reddit posted this communication from Mazda USA to their dealers. Lots to glean from this. It looks like they want to increase CX-90 PHEV production and I could see that the available trims for the CX-70 will be dependent on what sells with the CX-90.

Mazda USA made it official.

It looks like it will come out a year after the CX-90 release, as a 2025 model

It will likely include a review of the underside, which they have done for some vehicles. I am looking forward to it.

I am also looking forward to seeing the Savagegeese review. I notice a comment in a recent review from savagegeese that they are working on the CX-90 review and they expect it to be an hour long review.

They will likely want to keep it in Japan so that they can control the QC.

The CX-60 and CX-90 are assembled at the Hofu plant in Japan. In this Mazda interview, it is mentioned that production capacity at this plant will be reached with the CX-90. So for the CX-70 and CX-80, Mazda will need to start up production at another plant. That would explain the gap in...

Yes, there seemed to be a difference in the midrange compared to some other Mazda Bose systems. I wonder if the larger protruding door handle behind the midrange driver has anything to do with that.

If you use regular gas for both vehicles, the Palisade costs much more in gas. Here in Canada the savings would be $2500 CAD after 100k km (60k miles), according to my calculations based on combined gas mileage.

The CX-90 is made in Japan. Only the CX-50 will be assembled in Alabama.

Autoguide mentioned they averaged 28.9mpg (8.0l/100km) during their test drive.

I-stop is one feature I wish we could disable. I haven’t seen any mention of Cylinder Deactivation, so at least they didn’t implement that.
