Yeah mine was an ebay cheapy from cartoka. $100 shipped and it only took 4 days to get here. Yeah even the guy at cartoka told me the filter it came with is junk and I should replace it. What ever filter I go with it's going to be a dry flow I hate dealing with the cleaner and then oiling.

Is that a Rezton kit? It looks identical to mine. I'm yet to change the filter on mine though still using the cheap one it came with.

I'm assuming you have a "plug and play" kit and using the ground provided in the bulb socket. Scratch that ground and run a ground for the ballast straight to the body. If you don't mind loosing your drl's you can try the wire cutting method and see if that works. Both are easy solutions and...

Would a heater core issue cause the lower rad hose to remain cold?

I used to use that spray in repair stuff all the time till I started changing tires and found out how awful that stuff is. I now curse the people who us it. But I do carry a 12v air pump and tire plugs, glue and the tools.

Thats crazy I work in the off season from my regular job as a tire monkey and it takes like 5 mins to plug a tire, in your case with the tire already off the car it's more like 2 mins. I know where I work if a plug comes in I pretty much stop doing what i'm doing and plug it.
