So it's ok to mix brands of belt? Like for the serpentine I have the Mazda belt, and for the water pump I can use gates or another brand?

Last December my mechanic replaced the leaking hydraulic tensioner and serpentine belt on my CX-5 sport at about 64k miles with Mazda parts. He did not replace the water pump belt. So, at 75k when I have to get my spark plugs changed, I am going to ask him to change out the water pump belt...

I just went to NGKs parts finder and for the '16 CX-5 sport, it shows ILKAR7L11 and under fitment notes it says "Actual OE Manufacturer; 75,000 mi OE Mfr Recommended service interval". Are they claiming it's the same plug as the Mazda plug or they make the Mazda branded ILKAR7L11?

Good to hear.. I'll use the NGK ones when I get the plugs replaced by my mechanic.. They are also way cheaper, as Rockauto has them for about $40 for four plugs.

Now a little hesitant to try the NGK ILKAR7L11 plugs after reading the "Ignition gremlin". The Mazda plugs are about $25 a piece, but maybe they are just worth it to avoid future problems.

This sounds like Toyota which also claims lifetime fluid for their transmissions. However, on my 2010 Corolla the dealer recommended a flush around 60k, which I got done.
