What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Last June I installed a James Barone Racing RSB and this past November I added new Moog greaseable end links. On Sunday I did some rear sway bar maintenance. I re-tightened the 15mm nuts for the end links after adding some blue Loc-Tite to the studs (torqued to 50 lb/ft). I gave the end links...

    Megan Racing Springs

Davicho, you're not going to get any lip from me. One option available to you, if you're looking to upgrade your suspension yet keep the stock ride height, is to sell your MR springs and buy a set of Koni FSD front struts and rear shocks. You can find them via various links on this forum for...

2012 brake rotors 'warped' at 16K miles

I totally get replacing warped rotors if it can be done under warranty, but having to do it every 4-5K miles would suggest that there is something wrong with the replacement rotors, multiple times. After having to replace them twice, I'd spring for what you know are quality rotors and pads...

    Headlight wont work

If you've got a 2006-2010 Mazda5, then I would suggest looking at this headlight bulb socket that sits between your low beam bulb and your headlight electrical connector. I had this same issue with my wife's 2008 Mazda5 and the new socket cured that problem. The bulbs on the 2012+ models have...

    Battery maintenance

Your wife's experience is the perfect example of why it's not a bad idea to have a portable jump-starter on-hand.

    Battery maintenance

I got 4 years out of the original Panasonic battery in our 08 Mazda5 before replacing it with a Costco unit. Prior to that, I got about 8 years out of the original battery in our 04 Corolla. Actually, the only reason I replaced the Corolla's battery was because I wasn't going to try and sell...

    New MPV for US?

At this point in my life, I don't have the spare change to spend on an optioned-up model of any car. If it has A/C, Cruise, and a stereo I can plug my MP3 player into then I'm basically satisfied. For about $19K each, I got all that and more in both of our Mazda5's. But I would be willing to...

Finally got one after 3 years!

I have a pearl white Mazda5 and a set of black rims with my summer tires. I've been giving some serious thought to spray painting or plasti-dipping my chrome badges. It's going to be 10 below zero tonight though, so I'd better wait till spring.

Amazing to see this done to a Honda Odyssey...

It's a great concept van, no doubt, but I simply hate the lowered look with the negative camber on the rear wheels. And, only in my opinion, stretched rubber looks ridiculous no matter what's riding on it. Put some tires on that thing that actually fit the rims. If it doesn't fit without...

    2012 Mazda5 Kids, Carseats & Safety Review

There are 2 "Cons" that were not mentioned that were evident when we bought our 2008 Mazda5 and still had not been addressed when we added our 2012 Mazda5. By the way, in 2008 we had 2 kids and by 2012 we had 3. 1. Rear passenger vent still does not blow hot air, cold air only. Yes, I know...

When is a Minivan no longer a Minivan?

Lets be clear here. The Transit Connect is the smaller of the 2 Ford commercial vans. Transit Connect is available with either the 2.5L 4cyl or the 1.6L Ecoboost from the Ford Fusion with 6-speed auto. The wagon models of the Transit Connect will seat only 5 and MSRP for this starts at...

    To sell or not to...

The discount on the lease of the Mercedes is probably as much as a typical car would cost a company to lease. For example, say the discount is worth $199/month. That's easily as much as it would cost a company per car to lease a fleet of Ford Fusions or Chevy Malibus.

    Rail Dust On White Mazda5

Markuszoom5. Thanks for the solidarity. Like I said, I'm surprised with this Mazda5 and the rail dust since this is the 3rd white car I've had in the Northeast in my lifetime. 1998 Saturn SL2, 1999 Nissan Maxima both white. And I notice you're from Syracuse. I'm originally from Oneida.

    Rail Dust On White Mazda5

Does anyone else on this forum have a white or light colored Mazda5 with a recurring rail dust rust particle issue? I got my white 2012 in October 2012 and I first noticed the "rail dust" issue in early spring 2013. I took care of this issue last spring with a combination of Iron-x solution...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

What replacement speakers did you end up going with? Where did you get them and how much did they cost you? Did you replace the stock head unit and/or do you plan to? Have you noticed any major improvements in the sound, even with stock head unit?
