A guy at the dealership advised to every once in a while, to fill my Protege 1.6 DX Auto with High Octane Gas (Premium). He says it helps to prevent Carbon Buildup in EGR Valve. Does this sound right ? What do you guys think ?

aren't those stop leak additives bad for your vehicle? Especially if you eventually have to get a new Radiator. At least that's what I hear.

Jeg, the other day I was touching + terminal on my battery and it disconnected. Apparently the guy who sold me the car left it loose. Of course it reset the clock on my radio but my question is, could disconnecting the + harm anything?

I went to a so called Radiator specialist and they had my car hooked up to that pressure device and he said he could not find a leak. My mechanic already saw the leak & confirmed I do have one. soes Auro Zone still do free diagnostics or lend you the tool ? It seems everytime I go to one where I live, they say they don't do that anymore.

Question: I know there are a lot of reasons the computer can throw a CEL, but could a small leak in a Radiator cause this ? Thanks in advance.
