i have a stock spicy orange hood in my garage and for the op, i have a vis cf hood, but the edges are painted spicy orange.

any chances on getting GB on hoods? My VIS is cracking, faded, yellow, and nasty... i was actually looking at XC hoods earlier last week, but for a one-man buy, its pretty darn pricey.

are any vendors still selling? my vis hood looks like crap now - all dried up and cracked after 3 years or so... how is everyone elses holding up? Are you supposed to put gel coats over your CF hood to protect it? how do you prevent it from looking dry, slightly yellow, cracking? tia.

ah dammit really? I thought it was my Y cable that was causing the right side to cut out... dammit all lol. it was only $3 tho so no biggie.

hey just fyi - so i found them for $3.50 shipped on ebay ( that 13-pin CD changer aux Kenwood cable (CA-C1AUX)). I also saw some 10$ cables that does the same thing but terminated with a 3.5mm jack so you dont need that silly Y-audio cable thingy. thanks all.

I too had sporadic idling issues with a P0300 code (multiple cylinder misfire), and was going to clean out EGR. Tried replacing coil packs (which looked fine thru visual inspection), and that fixed it.

The wires are NGK recently replaced no more than 5K ago, same with the plugs, when I pulled out some to check, they looked normal, not burnt, and not totally white, but the bottom of it, on threading seemed to have some oil on it. I remember at 30k when pulling out the stock plugs it had a bit...

sweet guys, dropped in two ignition coils and she seems okay so far, idle was a bit low 400-500 but we'll see how it plays out as I just drove it a bit, reseted battery, and restarted it for a few. thank you all!

Great thread I'm going to try out coils as well - I'm getting a P0300 with rough idling/ bogging while driving. Seems to be what you had... Thanks Laramie.

What is the next easiest way to check for vac leaks besides visual inspection? Its the P0300 Code, random misfire. I might check the EGR and PCV valve; maybe clean or replace, but I've seen folks had luck w/ replacing the coil packs... is it really necessary? Its an 03 with 62K... can't...
