Some of the articles I’ve read said the CX-50 is a hair wider than the current CX-9. Not sure how that translates interior room but everything points towards the newer models having more interior space. Can’t wait to see the new CX-90!

Depending on the angle of the vehicle to the wall, the parking sensors may or may not go off. When in line at the McDonalds drive thru (don’t judge me, I have an 8 yr old :P ), the sensors go off sometimes, not consistently. If you’re perfectly parallel, they probably won’t go off.

Mazda did a great job with the CX-50. It adds something to the lineup they didn’t have before with the ”urbanite off-roader” look and rugged appearance. I’m sure it will drive as awesome as it looks. Google some reviews of the CX-5 and CX-9 AWD from the past year or 2 with the “off road”...

Yep, I did that. I turned off the Siruius Travelink notifications as well. I didn’t really find many NAVI specific settings though.

For anyone interested, the beeps returned when I pushed the SD card back in. The alerts, issue, whatever it is seems to be related to the NAVI. I’ll mention it at my next service. In the mean time I use Google maps anyway …

UPDATE I turned off all notifications and even disabled the safety systems. Turned off any alerts I could find under Sirius Travel Link. Turned BT off on the phone. Did not connect it to CarPlay. Still was getting the beeps. I took the Navi SD card out to disable navigate and the beeps...

Thanks for the replies. The input is appreciated. I’ll take a look at the various settings tomorrow. FYI, my wife used the CX-9 yesterday. Her phone isn’t paired via BT, she was not connected to CarPlay and still heard the beeps. It has to be an onboard notification.

I believe what you are seeing is the printed radio antenna. If you follow the lines, they’re probably not connected to the lines on the rest of the window.

I can’t remember the main menu selection…I think it’s information. Go to Sirius Travelink. Weather alerts. You should see options for alert notifications and alerts filters. Unchecking everything in both options should disable the alerts.
