Sounds like the hesitation to me..my car has done that from day 1. The Joe P FPR made it better but it still does it after the car gets hot. I see no reason you can't get 150-200k from the engine as long as you run stock boost levels.

What about this theory...I've hear people that up the boost to 10psi lose the hesitation. Maybe Mazda initially planned to run this engine at that boost level, and programmed the computer accordingly. Then at the last minute, due to durability or emissions, had to back it off to 6 psi. Just...
