2018 Grand Touring AWD Tire Recommendations?

Yeah I saw that. Oh well! I just bought tires for our Jeep Grand Cherokee yesterday. It's tire time in our household unfortunately all at the same time, lol!

2018 Grand Touring AWD Tire Recommendations?

I'm about to buy new tires for our 2019 CX-5 Signature. I absolutely hate the OEM Toyo A36 tires They howl and tread life was abysmal. I was surprised to learn that these OEM tires only had a tread life rating of 300...makes sense now that we only got 25K miles out of them. I've had summer...

    How’s your 2018+ Turbo been?

Thanks for sharing. I already bought a 2019 6 Signature back in February. It’s been fantastic so far. Same with our 2019 CX-5 Signature. The CX-5 has 21,000 miles; the 6 only 9,000. Hopefully we don’t experience any of the issues you guys experienced.

    How’s your 2018+ Turbo been?

What year is your car? Turbo or non-turbo? I’m assuming the person with the 100K mile motor was a N/A motor as I highly doubt there are many 2.5L Turbo motors with 100K miles.

    How’s your 2018+ Turbo been?

I own a 2018 CX-5 Signature - bought an extended warranty. I also own a 2019 Mazda6 Signature-decided not to buy it on this car. Both vehicles have had no major issues to-date.

Anyone replace the tires yet on their 2018+ Mazda6?

Thx for your reply. My brother loves his PS AS 3+ on his S4. Those are honestly the tires I’d get today if I needed them. How did handling/steering feel and responsiveness change with the Pilot Sport AS+ tires?

Anyone replace the tires yet on their 2018+ Mazda6?

I’ve driven our 6 now for several months and can say I don’t like the tires that came on the car. We have a 2019 Signature. I am expecting when I change the tires and go with a much sportier a/s performance tire, I’ll gain steering feel and a bit more responsiveness. Anyone replaced their tires...

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

and the other difference is the “distance until oil change required” distance on my 2019 CX-5 Sig both read the same number. They both jumped from 2500 to 0 in one key start.

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

Update: picked my car up today. Waited a few days because well, it’s not like we really need it right now, lol. I asked the Service Advisor to ask a service tech exactly how they reset the oil service light on a 2019 CX-5 Signature. He said [paraphrased], “well, I can show you because I too...

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

The issue with that TSB is it technically doesn’t apply to my vehicle. Mine is a US 2019 CX-5 Signature. Maybe there is a similar TSB that does apply to my vehicle but I’m not aware of it.

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

Here’s what my manual has to say about the info screens available in the message center that appears on a small screen inside the Speedometer gauge: ▼ Maintenance Monitor The following maintenance period notifications can be displayed by turning the Maintenance Monitor on.  Scheduled...

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

If there are two separate systems (dash and then in MazdaConnect) that completely independently track oil change needs, that is one of the dumbest “features” I’ve ever seen for a modern vehicle. What could be the reason for this? I’m struggling to come up with one. It’s not that I don’t believe...

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

Update: dealer acknowledged the distance to next oil change mileage jumping from “2500“ tp “0” isn’t normal. They said the first step is they will reboot the computer that controls the maintenance systems and see if this resolves the problem (said it often does.). The tech found no fault codes...

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

To be clear, our CX-5’s oil was changed by a Mazda dealer on January 23rd, 2020. Not even 3 months ago. We’ve only driven around 2500 miles since that oil change. Heading to the dealer in 15 minutes.

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

Yrwei52- thanks for your response. My last oil change was in January, so there is no reason why the system would have triggered the oil service due to length of time since the last oil change. And I’ve got a 2019 CX-5 Signature, so if they in fact fixed this issue with having to reset two...

“Oil service required” Light malfunction on ‘19 Signature

that’s very interesting...didn’t know that. The dealer did reset the oil change interval that shows miles until service in the gauge cluster though. So do you think they just didn’t reset the service change in the mazdaConnect menu? seems so odd there are two non-synchronized oil change...
