Updates on the car: We have been fine tuning the car but now on R1R/6UL and the results have been fantastic... the car has paxed first last two events locally. One thing that's been bothering us however is that the rear tires skip rather than slide and this is normally a sign of too much...

Unfortunately I have the 7" TRM (gun metal) and planning to keep it for some winter tires and get another set... I wouldn't mind a second set of black 7.5" TRMs though... they look nice!

What is your impression comparing the RPF1s vs. ULs? My guess is that the ULs will always be faster but is it noticeable? I'm still running the TRM wheels but I found a good deal on RPF1s with 35 offset... not sure if they'll fit.

I'm getting R1Rs for the next event and based on our club rule I can run it until April 2015 (our winter series follows the previous year rules). Adjusted the rear toe... with the tape measure it seems to be between 1/16 and 1/8 toe out now... Our last event of the year is this Sunday. Still on my ZIIs and the temperatures are getting close to zero and surprisingly dry... will be interesting to see how they do compared to continentals.

That's what I thought! And the number of turns helps a lot. Camber is maxed out at -2.0… according to the same guy who got -2.7 degrees with camber bolts and stock ride height.

Finally got around to working on this. Got shorter rear springs so I can lower the front too. I had to lower the front to get more clearance... I'm about 1/4 inch from the tires rubbing and the endlinks are clear, unless fully drooped and fully turned which shouldn't happen. Still have around 1...

Switching to Toyo after my ZIIs myself but for those who live in warmer parts of the world, these tires are as good as they get on a hot 20C < day (except for the cheater 195s).

Brand new wheels don't have to be that expensive either.... I got these guys and I'm happy with them...

I have tried having dedicated tires and it becomes a pain changing it at every event. If you are worried about wear, get the Direzza ZII... they should last you 20,000km with stock alignment. Depending on the class you want to be in RTF or STF, you may be able to upgrade your wheels for wider /...
