i didn't get any pictures white water rafting, but that was sweet too. this was probably one of the best weeks of my life. the best was night diving with sharks on the reef . i can't wait to get back some of my underwater pics

which part of the trip? i was in melbourne for 2 months and then we went to cairns after, so pricing is going to be a little tough but i can tell you what i paid.
plane to melbourne (rt): $1300
plane ticket from melbourne to cairns (rt): A$400
bungee jumping: A$150 for as many jumps as you can get in a day (i got 4)
rafting: A$130
rainforest: A$115
scuba (5 days, 2 days of dive training, 3 days 2 nights on the reef): A$550 + A$6/day reef tax + A$50 physical + A$50 book and dive tables (could loan for $5 for just book) + any gear (i got snorkel, mask strap and mask for A$190)
the hostel was A$21/night

so basically a lot

Yea this post is great since my fiancee and I are planning for our wedding/honeymoon and Aust. was one location of interest --- the others were Atlantis (Bahamas) and an Alaskan cruise.

The thing is we figure that the honeymoon will be one of those -- now or never -- type deals and if we dont do it now, we prob wont later -- so we are figuring Aust. An island or cruise is alot easier to do.

that cost was from boston for 1 person at a student price from studentuniverse.com . i'd say you're looking at about a grand each person for a round trip ticket to anywhere in australia. if you look around and book early you might be able to get a better deal. also the exchange rate now is better than when we booked so you might want to look at some aussie airlines like qantas or virgin blue, but don't be surprised if it's over 1k

protege5gurly: i'd say spend a few weeks in australia going to all of the different parts: start in melbourne, go to the great ocean road, then to sydney for a few days, then up to brisbane or surfer's paradise, then finish up with a nice scuba trip in cairns i can post pictures of all of those places if you like
