well just got home from the ATS racing dyno day in denton, tx on saturday. heres the results

MP3

AEM short ram, TB Bypass, Grounding Kit, Bosch Platinum +4 Plugs, Sparkco Plug Wires, resonator delete, spintech auger style muffler.

105.7whp/114.5wtrq

^ this being with the aem installed the "correct" way according to aem instructions.

ok so lets try something.....

turn the aem upside down so the filter is sticking out of the engine bay...k

114.9whp/122.6wtrq

so now i have the coolant tank relocated and my filter relocated over behind the headlight, pulled the same numbers that way. no wonder i was running slower than stock mp3's.

can you get some pictures of how you have it installed so i can see the way it is positioned. thanks.

holy crap 9hp + 8lb ft for sticking the intake out the roof!! Sounds like I'm breaking out the sawz-all when I get home!

my camera is broke but heres what u do

for the moment my overflow tank is removed..

take the portion off after the maf, put the filter on the other end of that pipe then insert the end the filter was in into the maf, move it around to where the filter is directly behind the headlight.

Still, i don't think it's sticking out the hood either....... no supercharger for me Bowler! K thanks.

I think he means instead of have the intake turned toward the engine block, he now turned toward the left fender well. That's why he had to move the coolant bottle. I can see as to how that might change things. He found the filter some fresh air to breath.

basically, it will sit almost where the ebay sri sits. ill mess around with this when i get home.

when it was on the dyno we had the intake just turned upside down so it was sitcking out of the engine bay, i put it behind the headlight for obivous reasons. (the hood wont shut with it sticking up)

hrmm, well thats kind false numbers then, cause you ran the dyno with it sticking out of the bay. but either or, i think have the aem sri away from the engine is the better placement. hot air = teh suck.

bahaha, my friends were there and told me about that s***. that sucks man.

they had a red 98 GSX, white 99 lude, navy Z28, trans am 1st gen integra, gutted and caged.

it dynos the same with it behind the headlight, and now i could prolly even gain a few more at the track by removing that headlight, kind of a pain in the ass to do though, i need the headlights with the intake runing thorugh them like they have for 240's and supras lol

I dont understand what you did? Isnt the bracket setup so when you have it right the filter points to the lower right away from the engine? That's how my AEM sri was setup.

yes but its still right between the back of the radiator and transmission so therefore = hot air
