[threadjack] those JIC coilovers are soo hot.. post a review when you get them installed plz I want to purchase them eventually... [/threadjack]

Yeah, if you order from Essential Speed you can choose your color, that blue is awful. I got Black for my MSP, simple, understated. All my engine bay is done in Blue and I didn't want that funky light blue in there.

The Essentiel Speed bar does make a big difference over the stock bar, I recommend it. Natey did a very nice how-to write up for the installation.

Just one word of warning, the paint is easy to scratch/chip so you have to be careful.

"Bar bolts to firewall for maximum rigidity and strength. Easily installed without major disassembly or down time with basic hand tools. Comes with detailed installation guide." -from http://www.cpracing.ca/
That couldn't be more false.:o My CP brace came with no hardware or installation guide at all. Once I got it installed(after bugging EssentialSpeed for over a week, they sent me some really vague instructions), it really made a nice difference. I also have FLTA2s on my Protege, and this bar compliments them nicely. Check out my how-to for install instructions that you can actually follow.

I think you can feel a difference, but then again, with stuff like this you WANT to feel a difference so there may be a bit of bias in there, but I could swear the car handles a little bit better now, I feel more in control then I did before and it tracks straighter on the freeways.

It's not bad at all. Take it off and go for a drive. lol, my p5 was rocking around like a...toyota echo. :D
The CP brace makes a difference because it braces the strut towers with the firewall. I can honestly feel a difference; especially in turn-in and tracking. (thumb)

Well I just read another thread that said that CP brace is a PITA to mount to firewall, doesn't come with all the hardware to mount it, and the instructions are either very vague or missing!

I ordered my CP Racing bar from Essentiel Speed and it came with the vague instructions that Natey mentioned (remedied by his EXCELLENT how-to) and the hardware for mounting to the firewall. The only thing missing was two washers so I could put washers on both sides of the firewall bolts.
