Try to get some ideas from there, and then hit us with specifics. You can also check out alot of ppl's sigs to see what they're running. My basic reccomendations personally would be as follows:
Figure out howmuch is toomuch to spend, etc...
Find a deck that makes you happy (figure if you want XM or Sirius for one) Prettymuch Alpine's one of the easier ways to go here. I really like Eclipse decks, but they aren't really into the satelitte thing. Fine by me since if I ever do it, I'll be getting a portable reciever thing.
Go listen to as Many speakers as you can. Make a sample disc that covers your spectrum of musical tastes, and listen your ears off. Look at primarily 6.5" components, and be prepared 'cause some of them ain't cheap. Oh, also use some form of amp in the 50-100w range for them. When listening try to keep as similar of a deck and amp and settings as possible.
Once you figure out which spekaers you want, go listen to more... But then I'd reccommend either an eclipse, JL or Alpine amp for your front stage, and don't be afraid to push some power. There's alot of us running well over 100w to our doors and it's amazing.
For your sub, I'm a big fan of eD. good prices, yes, but don't let that fool you, they're very nice subs. I've never heared a sub that integrates so smoothly with music and doesn't just sound like a big speaker in the back thumping away. For space-saving, I'd say a single sealed 10 would be plenty, but there's a bit of a space/boom trade-off. If you ever decide you want more, you can always build a ported box.
