endlink clunking

Ok, I install the 19 mm AWR 2 way adjustment into my P5 and use the stiffest setting. I re-used the stock rear endlink and it doesn't work since it will not clear the trailing link. Then, I use the AWR adjustable endlink. Everything works perfectly except the endlinks "clunk". So, I need some help how to make the clunking noise disappeared from the endlink. I have no idea to make that noise goes away. Any idea guys? I try to put some grease but it won't help. And is it possible to use the stock front endlink since the stock front endlink is longer than the stock rear endlink? I just need a little longer from the stock rear endlink to clear the trailing link. Thanks ahead everyone

Can you take a pic of your setup and send it to me?

Does the endlinks that you got have black plastic inserts in the ball joint? If it doesn't then you have to older style and you should call Anthony at AWR and get the new balljoints. Samething happened to me, but I bought my endlinks last year before the new style was released.

Mine clunked too. I secured a couple of zip-ties to the ball-joint to keep them from moving around, and it seemed to help a lot...either that or they just quit clunking by themselves. Here's a pic or two(pardon the blurriness, the camera's a pretty nice one, so it must be user error (dunno)) :

(also, notice my custom stainless steel hardware for the slider bracket. No rust problems for me, even after about a year!)

wow, that may help. but someone just posted that AWR comes out with new style for the adjustable endlinks with the black plastic inserts in the ball joint. gosshh, i think that will make the clunking noise go away.

Well, I will try grease it more and put some zip-ties. Thanks a lot Nate for the help

No problem, I hope it works out for you. The swaybar will make a nice difference in cornering.(wrc)

Justin definately knows what he's talking about. I may give AWR a call too. ;) Nothin' like a freebie!

well, this is the disaster when i installed my swaybar yesterday. I tried to use the stock endlinks and it wouldn't clear the trailing link. But, when we jacked up the car and put the endlinks, the trailing link was clear until we lowered the jack. The disaster -> putting some loctite in the bolts for the endlinks (bang)

Man, for 1 hours we tried to loose the bolts. The bolts wouldn't even move even we used impact tools. Decided to cut the bolt and the endlinks. Took us 6 hours to do that. Gosh, what we learned yesterday. Never put LOCTITE if it is not necessary

hehehe, you guys know what I am talking about. I will take the picture of the swaybar setting later and post it here.

I am trying to fix the endlinks today. Put some zip-ties around the ball joint and lubricate the ball joint with a lot of grease. But still clunking (scratch)

Any more idea guys ?

Any word from Anthony? He probably isn't available till Monday. I hate it when stuff breaks on Friday night.

i called anthony all day yesterday but nobody picked up the phone. i will try to call him again on monday then

ok, i find out that my endlinks are the older style. So Anthony will send me the new rod ends, new bolts, and new nuts to install the new endlink. Hopefully it will solve the clunking noise. Can't wait to fix the problem :p

FYI : Anthony at AWR is a good guy to deal with.

I took some picture of my 19 mm swaybar. Can you guys check it out to see whether I installed it correctly?

Last pic -> I put some silicone lubricant and grease, hoping to solve the clunking noise but no luck. I am getting the new end rods from AWR, Tony told me that it supposed to solve the clunking problem

Thanks
