Hello, in a predicament with my 2014 3 i gt hatch after rear ended parked by a hit n run. Caught the entire thing on video luckily and got covered for all damages.
Vehicle is returned with a CEL p0453. 52k miles, babied most of its life. Claims and adjuster sent me to dealer. The dealer returned with first a purge valve diagnosis, then a bad canister.
The car is going back to dealer for a comeback inspection after phone fun.
Update - the ftp sensor coming out of the canister is throwing the code according to dealer, but part is discontinued to make things more fun. Tech says only available with canister, but I was able to find two exact matches on the bay, matching Bosch part numbers.
I’m posting the picture of the unit in my vehicle for reference if anyone else has this come up. Since it’s a Bosch part, wasn’t too hard to find. Saves hundreds over a new canister from head orifice.
