Oil change frequency?

How often does everyone change their oil?

Schedule for my car is every 5000 or 7500 miles. I do a lot more city driving these days so I keep to 5000 mile intervals.

A dedicated thread was mentioned for oil analysis tests so I will start this thread off with mine. I realize there are numerous other threads with oil reports. Hopefully this one will be easier to find.

Just came in about 10 minutes ago.

Looks overall good to me

What are thoughts on the higher viscosity?

I did change on cold motor and at around 1/3 of a drain I took sample

I sure wish the pre-'16s allowed for the extended drain intervals.

I thought it was 5000 or 7500KM.

At least, that's what I stick to.

Before I retired, it was full synthetic every 5K miles.
Now I drive less than 3K miles a year, so it’s every 9 months.

Yeah that could be depending on country. For USA, these are the two schedules per Mazda in miles for my 2014.

Every 3,000 miles. I also did break in oil changes at 800, again at 1500, and yet again at around 3,000.(or so) .... Now its every 3,000 from here on out!
