:
2009 MAZDA2 NEO 1.5lt Auto 5Door JMODE10Y1901426XXX. 203,500km
The MAZDA2 runs hot and for a 2009 "plastic & hoses" are getting old.
Car is now at 203,300km.

Previously fitted a New FloKool RAD1476 Radiator 11/1/2024 at 170,700kms, the Original OEM 2009 radiator was weeping around plastic top tank to aluminium core gasket seal.

Anyone else had a Coolant Leak from the Heater Hose Connectors? The leak for mine has developed over the last 600km or so....

Ordered parts on Monday they arrived Thursday

Had some time so replaced the Heater Hoses & Quick Connects

Remove the Battery, & ECM/Air Filter Cover, makes access easy for the Heater Hose replacement. You don't need to remove the standard air intake/plastic over the coil packs.

About 1Hr all up then 10 min drive watching OBDII PIDs & check the heater hose connections & also Temps with Non contact thermometer. Then a 1/2Hr Hway run watching OBDII PIDs & checked the heater hose connections for seepage & also Temps with Non contact thermometer.
Checked the coolant level the following morning when car was cold & topped up coolant header tank. Also checked the Heater Hose connections & Radiator Drain Valve for seepage
