What? The Turbo basically feels like you are driving an NA V8 around.

I don't know how that would be mechanically possible. It's in the intake path. What's the temperature where you live? There was a post years ago that the turbo wouldn't kick in below 20 degrees F
It basically does. What?? Well, "feel" is a subjective thing, but a turbo 2.5 could never be tuned or designed in any way to feel like an NA V8, or vice versa.
Yea, I can see what you're saying. The 2.5T is linear and makes strong torque from low rpm up until 5000rpm or so.It basically does.
As a former NA V8 driver.
I live in Montana and have driven thousands of miles in temps colder than 20°F and it has never been an issue.I don't know how that would be mechanically possible. It's in the intake path.

Winter is here and my CX-5 Turbo is now a 2.0L!
I will check it out but my point is, the turbo cannot be turned off as it is mechanically part of the engine's air path. The only way I see this happening is if the ECU just opens the bypass and leaves it open. But you'd hear it. But that's not a very efficient way to run a turbo engine, it will be even weaker than the NA engine. There was a whole thread devoted to this topic, might want to take a look
There were too many reports to dismiss it. Something was going on.I don't know how that would be mechanically possible. It's in the intake path.
I use sport mode all the time and don't notice a flat spot. I am not coming from a scat pack tho.I did drive a 5.7 hemi 40 hours a week so not like I am coming from a rocket ship but not a tug boat either....I need to test a 2025 to see if they feel different than my 23 but wouldn't think so.It's crazy seeing the different comments here. So I purchased my 24 Signature after renting a non turbo version in PA in the summer of 2024. My wife was with me and I told her I like how it was appointed but it had ZERO balls. I told her I would buy one but it would have to be the turbo version. I made that comment without even having driven the turbo version. For reference, at that time my car was a 2022 6 MT Challenger Scat Pack with about 18k miles at the time...(purchased new). I returned home that summer and by August I went to purchase the Signature Turbo. Sure it was no where close to my Scat Pack, but to say it's no faster than the non turbo version is ridiculous. Even if you magazine race, it's about 2 seconds faster to 60. Get real guys. Now top speed on both may be the same....129 I think. And it absolutely does have a DEAD spot. I drive 53 mile one way for work daily with about 40 of that on the interstate. No to be fair, I've never used manual mode during aggressive driving but I'm sure it'll still have a flat spot.
