What did you pay for your CX-5?

Maybe if I’m feeling petty. One guy in particular was kind of a dick lol So now I have a problem. My son and his fiancé live in Philly, we always drove the old cx5, not my G87. Now I’m looking at the new perfect Mazda and I’m not feeling street parking it. It’s so freaking nice. Tonight we’ll have to brave it, big party.

I'm late to the party but congrats on the deal! The power of shopping comes from asking a LOT of people and getting a LOT of Nos, but it only takes one Yes to make a great deal!

Congrats on the great car and killer deal! (y)

Not out the door. Add taxes tags and a dealer fee ($599 or so)
Thanks. I'm getting ready to make an offer of my own and that helps.

FWIW, I'm considering making an offer on a 2025 Premium Plus. MSRP is 38010. Asking for a 8.5% dealer discount, making the vehicle price 34779.15. Assuming 2500 factory incentives that's down to 32279.15, add 7% tax so that's 34538.69. Planning to offer 34500 OTD. Already have financing lined up so I'm ready to buy today.

Initially was going to make an offer at a 10% discount (vehicle price 34209, 34k OTD) but I'd rather have them say yes than invite a haggling process. 34.5k I think they can say yes to. I am in a high COL area (Philly suburbs) and am willing to travel for the right price if I have to, but life is hectic atm and would rather make an offer my local dealership can accept.

This will be my first new car purchase, lot's of uncertainty getting to here but I think I'm on the right track. Any thoughts and/or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

What does that even mean?!
Well, did you click Ninja_Matt's link in his post?

SAVE TIME & MONEY WITH AUTO NINJAS
Auto Ninjas streamlines auto buying with cutting-edge technology and strong dealer partnerships, delivering transparency, excellent service, and unbeatable deals.
Idunno if it's only leases or also for purchasing as well. How It Works

Seems like they are a "buyers agent". For a fee (which they are doing $300 off with code), they do the leg work of securing a purchase agreement for a car that you want at a price you may not be able to get (or get without a lot of work) through their relationships with dealers.

Let's say the buyer agent fee is hypothetically $500 and they can arrange a 10% off car price saving me $3500 (a $3000 net savings) where maybe the best I could do through LOTS of time and haggling and emailing and calls and struggles is 8% saving me $2800 instead. So even with the "fee" of a buyer agent, they could save you money with their connections and buying power.

Even if it doesn't save money over what you could eventually work out for yourself, sometimes your time is more valuable to you or you just hate negotiating with a car salesman and it's worth it to just get a good number without all the leg work. I don't mind negotiating but I hate painting 😂, I'll gladly pay someone to paint for me. Do you have a line on any good deals for a house painter @Ninja_Matt haha ?

I wish I knew a Paint Ninja! I could use one myself, my house is due! :ROFLMAO:

Great job describing our service, one caveat I would add is that we don't "source" cars the way people often think, as that becomes too inconsistent, we first partner with dealers and pre-negotiate terms, typically leveraging our volume as a means to secure deeper pricing. In some more extreme cases, we account for up to 30% of new car business for a single dealership, that buys a lot of leverage in both price, but also experience for our clients. That dealer doesn't dare pull tricks with our customers given the relationship we share.

This is why we are a bit regional based, and why you may have to travel a bit (or have the car delivered, we do a ton of logistics and shipping and deliver via truck about 35% of our cars today). It's not to say our deals are impossible to replicate, as you've pointed out - but they can be incredibly difficult to replicate and take a LOT of time and effort, and as many of you know, getting a "deal" from a dealer before you go to sign paperwork, doesn't mean you're out of the woods.

Also, yes we do specialize in leasing and majority of business is leases, we also support finance/cash purchases as well! The type of purchase doesn't affect us at all.

Our site is due for a big refresh, so some of the messaging could be, and will be, improved come January/February. We're also a tech company and built our whole platform in-house, I did a lot of the design and project management as well (we're a small team).

Cheers!
