Evaporative fuel emissions flap disappeared

Hi all, my evaporative fuel emissions flap on my cx5 has disappeared, probably into fuel tank. Would anyone know if this will cause problem to my car/ engine if, left please?

I don't know what this flap is you speak of but I don't think it would cause a problem in the fuel tank. There's a fuel filter in there before it would get into the pump.

It wouldn't even make it to the filter.

I'd bet that it's still attached, but it got stuck in the position where it sits while you have a fuel nozzle in the filler neck.

A real engine problem? Highly unlikely.

Will it make the check engine light come on? I wouldn't say no.
