Guide: How to replace CX-9 AWD rear engine mount

:
Mazda CX-9 Signature
2016~2023 CX-9 Rear engine mount aka torque arm part # TK78-39-040

FWD should be much easier, but AWD requires lowering the subframe held by 8 bolts (4 on each side). You will also need to disconnect the end links from the swaybar held by a 14mm bolt.

To start, remove all the under trays. Remove heat shield (1 10mm and 4 push pins). Remove bushing from the exhaust hanger. Disconnect both end links from the sway bar.

Now you are ready!

Remove the 2 17mm bolts holding the mount and loosen the third 17mm bolt.
Loosen the 8 subframe bolts (4 17mm and 4 19mm) and lower the subframe by 0.5".

Use a jack to slight jack up the bottom of the mount bracket.

You should now have enough room to maneuver the mount out by lifting, twisting, and pulling.

Thanks! No symptoms really. It was done more as a preventive maintenance at 115k as you can see the rubber wasn't that bad. It was a relatively cheap part and I was able to save on shipping as I needed to get some other things too.

The placebo effect makes me think I'm able to put the power down a bit better now. :)
