2024 CX-5 Turbo Premium
Someone backed into my 6mo old 2024 CX-5 Turbo Premium while I was at work. They did not leave a note. I'm checking to see if it was caught on the lots cameras.

There is a crease where the front plate mount contacts the bumper and the black chrome grill trim shifted a little.

I'm concerned that if I have it fixed, the paint will not match. I heard Rhodium White Metallic is hard to match. I'm pretty anal about my cars so I'm really torn on this one.

I would leave it. I have a 23 rhodium white and hit a bear and had to replace mine and drives me nuts as the color is slightly off. In some light it looks fine other light conditions it has more of a gray shade....trust me that will bother you more than that little indent..

I know, a color mismatch would drive me nuts. Which is why I'm hesitant. That happened on my 5 (also white). Color was not even close. Some shops here in Honolulu are now making you sign a waver that you agree that you'll accept the color mismatch before they'll take the job. Basically giving them a pass to shoot it once and say "we tried".

PDR is easier (for a trained pro that is) on metal body parts than it would be for plastic.
Plastic cannot be simply pushed out like a small metal dent. I found this on line regarding PDR on plastic:

"Let’s assume that your damage is on a plastic area and the paint hasn’t been compromised. Paintless dent repair will work to massage and re-form the plastic back to its original form. Heat guns and warming tools will help to make the plastic malleable enough to re-form.
Even with this successful procedure, your vehicle may still nee some small paint touch-ups and a waxing and buffing to take out any superficial scratches."

I had 2 small dings in my new Stinger (self inflicted unfortunately) that got fixed by a PDR guy with 20 years experience. He did a fabulous job. Looks brand new with no signs that there was ever a ding.
My advice would be to have a PDR guy look at it and get an estimate or opinion.
